AlliedPro, a program of The Aesthetic Society, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Membership and account information. When you sign in, we verify your credentials against The Aesthetic Society's membership system and keep a member record that includes your name, email address, professional credentials, and membership status. You may optionally add profile details such as your role, practice name and state, and a short bio.
Learning activity. To power progress tracking and achievement badges, we record which courses you watch, how far you've progressed, total watch time, completions, and badges earned.
Contact form submissions. If you contact us, we collect the name, email address, phone number, subject, and message you provide so we can respond.
Usage analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, approximate location, and device information. If you decline, no analytics run and no analytics cookies are set.
Video playback data. Our video platform (Mux) collects technical playback data — such as buffering, resolution, and errors — to monitor and improve streaming quality.
Cookies and Browser Storage
Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them via the consent banner, and your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage. Signing in stores a session token (and, if you choose, a device-trust token for two-step verification) in local storage — these keep you signed in and are not used for tracking. Our hosting infrastructure may set short-lived cookies for security and bot protection. Fonts are served by Adobe Fonts, which receives standard web requests when pages load.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to provide the portal and verify your membership, track your educational progress and award badges, respond to your inquiries, communicate updates about your membership and events (subject to your notification preferences), and — with your consent — understand site usage so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who help operate the site: Google (analytics, with consent), Mux (video streaming), Twilio SendGrid (email delivery), and DigitalOcean (hosting). Membership information is maintained in The Aesthetic Society's systems. If you choose to share an earned badge, the public verification page displays your name and the badge details to anyone with the link — sharing is always your choice, per badge.
Your Choices
You can decline analytics via the consent banner with no effect on your use of the site, and change your choice at any time using the link in the site footer or right here. You can also manage email notification preferences in your portal settings and choose whether to share badges. To access, correct, or request deletion of your information, contact us.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction, including encrypted connections, rate limiting, and two-step verification options for your account.
